Fluminense beat Unión Española 2-0 on Wednesday night (14), at Maracanã. Flu's goals were scored by Keno and Samuel Xavier. With the result, the tricolor assumed the provisional leadership of group F of the Copa Sul-Americana , with 10 points.

To secure qualification in this round, Fluminense needs San Jose to fail to beat Once Caldas at the Palogrande stadium in Colombia. If Once Caldas wins, the Colombian team would need a draw in the last round at Maracanã to take the lead in the group.

The team that finishes top of the group will go straight to the round of 16 of the South American Cup. The second-placed team will play a sort of playoffs, facing a third-placed team from the Copa Libertadores . For the next matches, Fluminense may not be able to count on Canobbio. The Uruguayan suffered a blow and is suspected of having a facial sunken in. The player should undergo tests this Thursday (15) to assess the severity of the injury.

Fluminense and Once Caldas will face each other on Thursday, the 29th. Before that, the tricolor has commitments in the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil .
