Registrations are now open for the 16th edition of the Ria Swimming Crossing, an initiative promoted by the Ílhavo City Council, which combines sporting activities with the enhancement of the natural and tourist potential of the Ria de Aveiro. The event, which is scheduled for July 6th and is expected to attract 160 athletes, has a swimming course, approximately 750 meters long, connecting the banks of Gafanha da Encarnação to Costa Nova do Prado, in the Mira Canal of the Ria de Aveiro. Participants will gather between 11:20 and 12:35 pm at Largo da Bruxa, in Gafanha da Encarnação, with departure scheduled for 1:06 pm, arriving at the Costa Nova lawn. Participants will also have the chance to challenge their limits and take part in the 11th edition of the Aquathlon, which will include an 800-meter race in addition to the swim.
Registrations are open until June 13th, or until the limit of available places is reached, and must be made through the Lap2Go platform. The Ria Crossing by Swimming and the Aquathlon are part of the Mareato Festival program.
