Remount guarantees climb to Estarreja
The Estarreja team secured their return to the SABSEG Championship by beating Valonguense, who played a great game and had an advantage for nine minutes that gave them a place in the district elite.

With the final round of the South Zone of the 1st District Division arriving, in which promotion to the SABSEG Championship would be decided, Estarreja, which had been leading the championship since the first round, received a Valonguense team that, like last season, was also fighting for promotion, having to win by more than one goal against João Couras' team. A game that generated great expectations, hence the strong support from both sides, who filled the stands of the Estarreja Sports Complex. And it was in an atmosphere of great emotion that yesterday, Estarreja celebrated at the end of the game, after a 3-2 victory, but the "home" team was still, for a few minutes, away from promotion. Valonguense went into the break winning 1-0, with a goal from Diogo, and in the second half they increased their lead through Rafinha (59'). For nine minutes, the team from Arrancada do Vouga had virtually guaranteed promotion, but Estarreja equalized through Mateus (58') and made a comeback in the last ten minutes with a brace from goalscorer André Duarte (83' and 85').

Estarreja, which returns to the SABSEG Championship one season after being relegated, will now compete for the district title with Cesarense, winner of the North Zone and also promoted to the main championship of the Aveiro Football Association, as well as S. Roque and Fermentelos, second classified in both zones.
