NFL: Commanders player suspended for punching opponent.

The suspension will cause Payne to miss the Week 11 game against the Miami Dolphins , a historic matchup held at the Santiago Bernabéu , marking the first NFL game in Madrid . He will be eligible to return to the roster starting November 17th.

The defender can still appeal the punishment. If he files an appeal, the case will be reviewed by Derrick Brooks, Ramon Foster , or Jordy Nelson , officials jointly designated by the NFL and the NFLPA to judge disciplinary actions on the field.
