Cuiabano, now from Forest, arrives in Rio de Janeiro to return to Botafogo

Botafogo 's latest signing in the transfer window is an old acquaintance. After all, the club agreed to the return of Cuiabano, shortly after completing the sale of the athlete to Nottingham Forest, in England. The left-back then landed in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday morning (4) to remain at the Rio de Janeiro club, on loan, until the end of the 2025 season.
During the landing, the player did not speak to the press and preferred to just take photos with a young fan. It is worth remembering that last Friday (29), the club accepted a proposal of 6 million euros, around R$ 38.1 million, at the current rate, from Forest. The boarding for England was the following day.

The left-back even posted a farewell message, saying it wasn't a goodbye to Botafogo, but rather a see you soon. With starter Alex Telles facing a limited playing time to avoid injuries, the club launched into the transfer market and attempted to sign Erik from Al-Ain (United Arab Emirates), but the loan offer was rejected.
From there, the solution was a loan offer for Cuiabano, who wouldn't have a place at the English club this season. Thus, the agreement with Evangelos Marinakis was swift, and Davide Ancelotti also provided additional assistance with a link with the full-back.
Finally, Nottingham demanded that Botafogo grant him a minimum amount of playing time. Furthermore, they created a guide with nutritional guidelines, a specific diet, monitoring of different physical percentages, and English lessons, according to the "ge" website.
