Beira-Mar surprises with a very positive performance in Anadia
The district derby, despite being goalless, was a good spectacle. The team from Aveiro faced a more experienced opponent, but were (almost) always the better team on the field.

In the game that marked the start of the Portuguese Championship's Series B, it was somewhat surprising to see Beira-Mar outperform Anadia throughout the first half. Fabeta's team was always more dominant, playing mostly in midfield. Had Sérgio Santos twice threatened Lucas Silva's goal, it was Diogo Sancho's turn, almost halftime and completely alone, to incredibly miss what would have been the derby's first goal. The young midfielder hesitated, didn't pass the ball to Didi, who was even better positioned to finish, and ended up shooting, allowing Lucas Silva to make a relatively easy save.

Despite this, the performance of the Aveiro team in the first half, at the home of a team that comes from Liga 3, was, overall, very positive.
