The Socialist Party wants the Government to publish the report of the working group on rapidly attriting professions and has requested a parliamentary hearing of the responsible Secretaries of State to understand the government's position and timetable.
According to a request from the Socialist Party parliamentary group, which the Lusa news agency had access to today, the issue of rapid wear and tear has gained "preponderance in public debate" and during the Socialist government, a working group was created with different public services.
“Through news reports in the media, it became known that the social partners had already received a document from the Government within the scope of the work of this working group,” the document states.
The Socialist Party wants the Government to make available the report developed by the working group that is studying rapidly attriting professions.
The Socialists also request a hearing with the Deputy Secretary of State for Labor, Adriano Rafael Moreira, and the Secretary of State for Social Security, Susana Filipa Lima, on this report.
The PS's objective with these hearings is also to find out "the Government's intentions, priorities and timetable for future work on rapidly attriting professions."
"As of July, there is no evidence that this report is complete or that it is known to the social partners. The interim report previously presented to the partners is only occasionally referred to publicly, as happened a few days ago in a parliamentary debate, but with no news of further developments," it can also be read.
The PS guarantees that it will continue to monitor this issue "with a full sense of responsibility, recognizing the importance and sensitivity of the issue and its implications."
“It is therefore important to monitor the work that has been carried out and to be aware, in the absence of a definitive result, of the existing conclusions of the aforementioned working group in the preliminary report whose existence has been mentioned,” they explain.
For the socialists, "this issue must be viewed in a transversal and integrated manner, giving coherence to a framework that already exists for some activities, but in a dispersed and case-by-case manner."
