PS proposes to Montenegro the creation of a coordination unit for hospital emergencies

The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, José Luís Carneiro, today sent the Prime Minister a proposal to create a coordination unit for hospital emergencies, to resolve a problem in an area in which he accuses the Government of having failed.
At a press conference at the PS headquarters in Lisbon, José Luís Carneiro said that over the past few days he had spoken with people in the areas of civil protection, health and emergency services and had detected "a profound crisis in the coordination of resources."
The PS proposal, which according to the socialist leader has already been sent to Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and will also be presented as a draft resolution in parliament, is for the creation of a coordination unit for hospital emergencies.
“The Government promised and failed,” he accused.
