Liliana Filipa and Daniel Gregório issued a statement on Wednesday evening, August 13, following the armed robbery they suffered while on vacation in Vilamoura, Algarve. The digital creator and the automotive entrepreneur thanked their fans for their concern, noting that their goal now is to "try to distract as much as possible" their young children, Santi and Ariel.

"Thank you for your messages of concern. We are fine, although our hearts are heavy and we are frightened by this deeply traumatic episode for our family.

Right now our biggest concern is trying to distract the children as much as possible so that they remember less and less of what happened.

I've traveled so much, to so many destinations that I avoided taking children to because I believed they were 'dangerous', and I've never felt so vulnerable as I do right now, here in my country that I love so much," reads the statement in question.

A "traumatic moment" for Liliana Filipa

In exclusive statements to Fama ao Minuto , the digital influencer, who became known to the public after participating in the TVI reality show 'Secret Story', stated that "this was the most traumatic moment of her life".

The 30-year-old businesswoman also revealed in a statement to our website that the case is now being investigated by the Judiciary Police. Regarding the assets stolen by the robbers, Liliana explains that a valuable watch belonging to her partner was taken.

When Liliana and Daniel headed to the Algarve for their usual family vacation at the end of July, they had no idea they would experience this nightmare.

In a video released by Jornal de Notícias - which broke the news first - it is possible to see a motorcycle with two assailants approaching the high-powered car from the driver's side.

Meanwhile, one of the robbers pointed a gun at Daniel, who immediately handed over his watch. Liliana managed to get out of the car, but then got back in. Watching the whole thing from the backseat were the couple's children, Santi and Ariel.

As soon as the robbery, which reportedly lasted 30 seconds, was over, the two men fled. No one was injured, and no shots were fired, it was also revealed.
