4 plants that help keep ticks away and also perfume your home

Having a beautiful, fragrant, tick- free yard can be simpler than it seems. According to biologist Fabiano Soares , some aromatic plants help keep these parasites away, creating a healthier environment for both pets and humans.
One of the most effective, according to Fabiano, is lavender . "Besides perfuming the space with its relaxing aroma, it releases essential oils that bother ticks and other arthropods, helping to keep them away," explains the expert.
Lemongrass, known for its anti-mosquito properties , is also effective against ticks. "It contains a lot of citronella, making it a classic pest control product," says Soares.
Another good option is mint, easy to grow and with a refreshing scent. According to the biologist, its intense essential oil is a true natural tick repellent.
Rosemary, in addition to being widely used in cooking, has a striking aroma and properties that also help ward off these unwanted parasites.

The combination of these actions is what truly prevents the proliferation of ticks."
