Thus, the Dow Jones gained 0.70% to 45,097.17 points, the S&P 500 added 0.53% to 6,403.88 points, and the technological Nasdaq appreciated 0.47% to 21,198.66 points.

Markets are on the lookout for any surprises, and a drastic one is more likely than not, " says Ipek Ozkardeskaya, an analyst at Swissquote Bank.
