Vilamoura, the first phase of construction of the Arcaya development begins in 2026

Bondstone , a private equity firm specializing in the development and management of real estate assets in Portugal, announces the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding, with Casais – Engenharia e Construção and Carmo Wood, which mark the start of the first phase of construction of Arcaya , a unique residential project located in Vilamoura.
With a privileged location in the Algarve, nestled within a 68-hectare forest and an approach focused on sustainability and exclusivity, Arcaya represents a real estate project focused on sustainable construction and practices in Portugal.
This first phase of construction includes the construction of 76 houses – 44 single-family houses (Terracotta, Timber and Sand Villas) and 32 townhouses (Sunset Villas) – and a Clubhouse with 3,500 square meters (m2), totaling a gross construction area of approximately 22,400m2.
Bondstone is moving forward with the completion of a project that combines the sophistication of a destination in harmony with nature and the technical rigor that characterizes the construction of Arcaya.
Casais and Carmo Wood are two strategic partners with extensive experience in delivering high-quality residential and tourism projects in the Algarve and with a strong focus on industrialization and off-site modular construction.
Arcaya's construction solutions were designed to ensure maximum efficiency, sustainability, and quality, using industrialized and modular methods, reducing construction time and environmental impact. Both Casais, with its proven track record in executing landmark projects, and Carmo Wood, a national leader in sustainable wood structures and modular construction, apply off-site manufacturing technology and processes, ensuring superior precision and sustainability.
"The signing of these MoUs represents a decisive moment in the completion of the first phase of Arcaya, allowing us to move forward with confidence and solidity in the execution of this emblematic project. Casais and Carmo Wood's experience and commitment to innovation and sustainability ensure the delivery of an excellent product, aligned with the expectations of our clients and investors," says Frederico Pedro Nunes, COO of Bondstone.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the first deliveries scheduled for early 2027, with the aim of consolidating Arcaya as a new leading residential destination in the Algarve.
It should be remembered that Maria da Graça Carvalho, Minister of the Environment, considered Arcaya as an “example” of sustainable construction for the Algarve , during a visit last January.
