Trade agreements excite investors on Wall Street

New York closed the day trading in positive territory, after the United States reached a trade agreement with Japan and was close to reaching one with the European Union.
The S&P500 closed at a new record high.
The Dow Jones index rose 1.14% to 45,010.29 points, the S&P500 gained 0.80% to 6,360.08 points and the Nasdaq increased 0.61% to 21,020.02 points.
Merck&Co rose 2.95%, UnitedHealth gained 2.61%, Caterpillar increased 2.48%, Goldman Sachs added 2.44%, and Boeing soared 2.33%. Countercyclically, Travelers lost 0.84%, Coca-Cola fell 0.69%, McDonald's slipped 0.34%, and Verizon slipped 0.23%.
In the oil market, Texas-based WTI rose 0.20%, setting the price per barrel at $65.44, and Brent advanced 0.15% to $68.69. Natural gas fell 5.47%, setting the price per barrel at $3.074.
In the foreign exchange market, the euro appreciated 0.15% against the dollar, settling at 1.1773 dollars.
