IPC-Fipe rises 0.10% in the third four-week period of August, after a 0.09% increase in the previous preview

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, rose 0.10% in the third four-week period of August, a slight acceleration after the 0.09% gain seen in the second four-week period of this month, according to data published by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe) this Tuesday, 26th.
In the third preview for August, two of the seven components of the IPC-Fipe increased at a slower pace from one four-week period to the next: Housing (from 0.32% in the second four-week period to 0.26% in the third) and Education (from 0.30% to 0.07%). Transportation increased deflation in the period (from -0.15% to -0.47%).
On the other hand, two categories accelerated their rise on the same comparative basis: Personal Expenses (from 0.55% to 0.65%) and Health (from 0.69% to 0.76%). Two others had smaller deflation: Clothing (from -0.10% to -0.07%) and Food (from -0.42% to -0.18%).
