Gold price hits peak of 3,010 euros per ounce

The price of gold today reached a new high of $3,526 (around €3,010) per ounce, after already reaching a record high this morning.

At 4:15 pm (Lisbon time), the price of gold reached $3,526.42 per ounce.

This morning, gold had already reached a record high of $3,508.73 per ounce, but shortly thereafter began to fall.

At 1:00 pm, the upward trend resumed, taking the price per ounce (equivalent to 31.1 grams) to a new historical high.

Silver has also been trading at highs, around $40.83 (€34.86) per ounce.
