Enjoy the beach and fill up tomorrow: Fuel will be cheaper

If you need to fill up your car—but can wait a little longer—the best way to save money is to wait until Monday. According to forecasts from the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), both diesel and gasoline are expected to become cheaper.

Diesel will drop half a cent per liter, while gasoline will be 1 cent cheaper.

If so, the average price of simple diesel should fall to €1.593/l while that of simple 95 gasoline will be fixed at €1.678/l.

If confirmed, this will be the second consecutive week in which fuel prices have seen a slight reduction. It should be noted that, the previous week, forecasts also indicated a 0.5 cent drop for gasoline and 1.5 cents for diesel.

Please note that the forecasts are made based on the assumption that the extraordinary tax reduction measures implemented by the Government will be maintained to mitigate price increases.
