Porto Carvoeiro celebrates its roots with a village party

Porto Carvoeiro, part of the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, will host, on the 30th and 31st, a new edition of Há Festa na Aldeia, an initiative that aims to celebrate its rurality and value its cultural heritage. With the support of the city council, the initiative, promoted by ADRITEM, in partnership with the Village Tourism Association and several local entities, reinforces cultural decentralization as a tool for valuing the rural world, local identity and territorial cohesion. Over the two days of the festival, the village becomes a stage for memories and experiences, with an intergenerational and participatory program, ranging from traditional cuisine to contemporary art and from popular music to environmental education. To bring the territories closer together, Largo do Porto Carvoeiro will host, with free admission, creative workshops, traditional cuisine, intimate concerts, popular street parties, innovative proposals such as contemporary artistic expressions, traveling performances, and environmental education activities, always with community involvement.
The program also offers ongoing activities for children, such as storytelling, manual workshops and environmental experiences, held at Recreio d'Aldeia, as well as the “Florir a Aldeia” project, which rewards local beautification.
