The Portuguese team played the qualifying round in Maia, where they drew with Israel (1-1) and beat Azerbaijan (11-1) and Switzerland (4-1). The Israeli team ended up winning Group A thanks to the better difference between goals scored and conceded.
The team led by Sara Almeida, it should be remembered, completed a training camp in Góis before this decisive qualifying phase.
The national team has the goalkeeper from Coimbra, João Duarte, who came through the ranks at CF Santa Clara and who this season represents Lorvanense.
