The works must be executed for the amount of 1.7 million euros and according to the Património institute Cultural, cited by Lusa, the contract was awarded to the company In Situ, by period of 330 days, with completion expected at the end of June 2026. Of according to the same institute, the consignment report was carried out on the 30th of July and the necessary preparatory work is currently underway for execution of the work.” On Tuesday, August 12, the BASE Portal – a public portal which centralizes information on public contracts concluded in Portugal – published the announcement of the contract for the project for which two companies competed. The work presented as a base price a value of 1.85 million euros.

Refer to that this work, which concerns the cloisters of the Convent of Christ, is part of a broader investment project: Cultural Heritage opened in February a 3.6 million euro competition for the requalification and rehabilitation of other areas of the monument, namely the Paço Henriquino, the Alcáçova, the Castle and the garden. Throughout 2025, the Convent of Christ will receive two rehabilitation projects and requalification budgeted at a total of more than five million euros, 100% financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
