Gonet calls for Bolsonaro to be convicted of 5 crimes in the coup action

The Attorney General's Office asked the Supreme Federal Court, this Monday 14, to convict former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and seven other members of the so-called crucial nucleus of the 2022 coup attempt.
In the document, prosecutor Paulo Gonet indicates that Bolsonaro should be convicted of five crimes, namely : leading an armed criminal organization; attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law; coup d'état; damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the Union's property, and with considerable harm to the victim; and deterioration of listed property.
The statement is included in the court's closing arguments, forwarded to the rapporteur of the criminal case, Justice Alexandre de Moraes. Gonet also requested the conviction of seven other defendants.

- Anderson Torres , former Minister of Justice: armed criminal organization; attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law; coup d'état; damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the Union's assets, and with considerable harm to the victim, and deterioration of listed heritage.
- Augusto Heleno , retired general and former head of the Institutional Security Office: armed criminal organization; attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law; coup d'état; damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the Union's property, and with considerable harm to the victim; and deterioration of listed property.
- Mauro Cid , lieutenant colonel and former aide-de-camp to Bolsonaro: armed criminal organization; attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law; coup d'état; damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the Union's property, and with considerable harm to the victim; and deterioration of listed property - as Cid is considered a collaborator, the PGR recommended the reduction of 1/3 of the sentence , but not judicial pardon since omissions were pointed out in their statements.
- Paulo Sérgio Nogueira de Oliveira , general and former Minister of Defense: armed criminal organization; attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law; coup d'état; damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the Union's property, and with considerable harm to the victim; and deterioration of listed property.
- Walter Braga Netto , retired general and former Chief of Staff: armed criminal organization; attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law; coup d'état; damage qualified by violence and serious threat, against the Union's property, and with considerable harm to the victim; and deterioration of listed property.
