Black Cat: what we know about the Porsche accident on Faria Lima

Digital influencer Gato Preto crashed his Porsche on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, in the west zone of São Paulo, on the morning of Wednesday the 20th. He sped through a red light and collided with another vehicle. Fleeing the scene, he was arrested hours later in his apartment, naked, accompanied by two other women who were also naked. His defense was not located.

How did the accident happen?

Gato Preto was driving a 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima when he collided with a Hyundai HB20 on Wednesday morning. The vehicle is valued at approximately R$800,000.

Footage from the City Hall's Smart Sampa captured the Porsche speeding through a red light . The influencer left the scene after the accident and was located hours later.

Who was with him in the vehicle?

Gato Preto's girlfriend, also an influencer and former contestant on the reality show A Fazenda , was also in the Porsche at the time of the collision. Both have since been targets of a police operation on suspicion of involvement in illegal gambling . His defense was not located.

Were passengers in the other car injured?

The vehicle's passenger, a 20-year-old man, was injured in the collision and needed to be hospitalized.

Was the influencer arrested?

The digital influencer was arrested in his apartment hours after the accident. Military police located him at home following a tip-off. When officers arrived, the influencer was naked and accompanied by two women, also naked.

"We managed to arrest him in the act, following a report, shortly after the incident," said Colonel Emerson Massera, a Military Police spokesman. "He was naked, accompanied by two women, also naked," he added.

Gato Preto did not resist arrest, but he refused to take a breathalyzer test, according to police. His defense attorney could not be reached.

"You're in a dangerous situation. I don't know if you have a weapon. We're going to go in and help you get dressed. I'm covering the camera because you're naked. If the Public Prosecutor's Office requests it, you won't be naked. Ask the girls to get dressed too," said the police officer.

At another point, the officer explains to Gato Preto that he's being arrested because he fled the scene of the accident. "You're committing a traffic offense," the officer said. In response, the influencer said he welcomed the victims but justified his escape by citing the presence of people who filmed the scene.

What did he claim?

"I left because... I paid attention to you, to him and his son, but there were a lot of people recording. So, to avoid it, I had to leave," the man said. He claimed that the security guard had provided support to the victims.

"But you were the driver, not your bodyguard," the Military Police officer retorted. "Since you were the driver, you got away with a traffic accident with a victim. That's a traffic offense," the officer said.

How are the investigations going?

He refused to take a breathalyzer test , but was subjected to an examination at the Legal Medical Institute (IML)," the Security Secretariat said in a statement. Released, he awaits the results of the forensic examinations .

After being taken to the police station, the influencer was released pending the results of forensic examinations. The luxury car was impounded, and the case was registered as negligent bodily harm while driving a vehicle, drunk driving, fleeing the scene, and tampering with the accident.
