Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will play at Opener Festival 2026

Australian singer Nick Cave and his band The Bad Seeds will perform at the next edition of the Open'er Festival, which takes place at Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport. The musicians will perform on July 2, 2026, on the Orange Main Stage.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will come to Poland as part of a European tour, continuing last year's tour promoting their album "Wild God." They also performed in Łódź and Kraków.
"Wild God" is the band's 18th studio album ; their previous release as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds was 2019's "Ghosteen." The group was formed after the breakup of The Birthday Party, the first band fronted by the Australian vocalist and writer (whose novels include "Gdy oślica uliwya Anioła" and "Śmierć Bunnyego Munro" ). In 1984, Cave's debut album with The Bad Seeds, "From Her to Eternity," was released.
Over the years, the band's lineup has evolved, as has its sound, drawing inspiration from gothic rock, punk , ambient, and religious music. Their most famous albums include "The Boatman's Call" (1997), "No More Shall We Part" (2001), "Murder Ballads" (1996), and "Let Love In" (1994).
The most popular songs are: "People Ain't No Good", "Into My Arms", "Red Right Hand", "Where the Wild Roses Grow", "The Mercy Seat", "Loverman" and "The Weeping Song".
Opener Festival 2026 - who will play?On Thursday, organizers announced that David Byrne – the legendary American vocalist, former frontman of the band Talking Heads, solo artist, photographer, and writer – will also perform at Open'er this year. In Gdynia, Byrne will promote his latest album, "Who Is the Sky?", released this year. The musician will perform on July 1st at the Tent Stage.
