A good change for PKP Intercity passengers. It's about ticket sales.

Purchasing international tickets with PKP Intercity has never been easier. The carrier is changing its rules for booking connections from Poland to abroad, allowing travelers to secure a seat reservation up to six months before the train's departure. However, this convenience will apply to selected connections. "Advance booking allows you to guarantee seats on your chosen train, as well as fully plan your entire journey – accommodation, attractions, and transfers on-site, especially during the tourist season. It also increases your chance of purchasing a ticket at an attractive price," the PKP Intercity website states.
International tickets at PKP Intercity under new rulesPKP Intercity is introducing another revolution in international ticket sales. Until now, train connections from Poland to abroad could be purchased no more than 60 days in advance. Now, on selected routes, seats can be reserved up to six months in advance.
The change will affect connections to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Lithuania. The pre-sale period for tickets to the Czech Republic will also be extended at the end of October, but for these routes, it will be shorter, at 90 days. "Ultimately, pre-sales for these connections are planned to launch up to six months in advance," we read. The new feature will not be implemented on trains to Ukraine – in this case, travel can still only be planned 20 days in advance.
Changes only on the websiteHowever, the option to purchase tickets six months in advance is currently only available on the carrier's website and app. At station ticket offices, seats on international trains can still only be reserved according to the old rules.
With the new annual timetable coming into effect, more trains will be running on Polish tracks, heading abroad. A new addition to the carrier's system is a connection to Leipzig.
