In Cincinnati, Magda Linette's performance in both doubles and singles went well. She and Clara Tauson won their first match against Tereza Mihalikova and Olivia Nicholls 4-6, 6-2, 10-7. They were scheduled to face Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini in the next round.

Both players were competing simultaneously in the singles competition. Linette caused a huge sensation by defeating Jessica Pegula, advancing to the fourth round. At that stage, she could have faced her doubles partner, but the Dane, although she came within a whisker of victory, ultimately lost to Kudiermietova.

Her health problems, which flared up in the decisive set, certainly didn't help. The tennis player complained of back pain, and a physiotherapist appeared on the court several times. These circumstances, combined with the fact that the Polish player still had a chance at success in singles, likely led the players to withdraw from the doubles competition.

We now know when our representative will play her next match. She will face Kudiermietowa on Thursday night, no earlier than 1 a.m. Polish time.
