The star appeals to UEFA regarding Szymon Marciniak. "Take a look!"
The Spaniards have a grudge against Szymon Marciniak mainly for three situations: the reversal of the decision to award a penalty after a foul on Lamine Yamal, the recognition of Inter's goal for 3:3 despite an alleged foul on Gerard Martin just before the goal, and the general management of the match, in which - according to the Catalan media - most of the controversial decisions were to the detriment of Barcelona.
They were afraid of the Pole before the match. Now they want UEFA to take a closer look at the refereeEric Garcia reminded us that Marciniak is never associated well with Barcelona. "We all know what happened with that referee last time. But oh well, we have to be proud of what we achieved," the player said in an interview with journalists.
Barcelona's young star Pedri was much more blunt in his opinion, saying: "UEFA should take a closer look at this referee. There are many things I don't understand. I agree with Hansi Flick that all the 50-50 situations were whistled in their favour."
Ronald Araujo also commented on one of Marciniak's decisions, although he added that it shouldn't explain the final defeat. "I think there was a foul on Gerard (Martin – editorial note) at 3:3. The referee influenced the result of the match, but you can't look for excuses. We have a good mentality and this generation of players will be back next year."
Flick has one complaint. He said something to Marciniak after the matchThe Catalan team's coach, Hansi Flick, was also asked about his opinion on Marciniak. "I don't want to talk too much about the referee, but every 50/50 decision was for them. We gave it our all and it turned out the way it did," the coach noted.
The German could not come to terms with the fact that the referee whistled in favor of the Inter Milan players in "contact" situations. "We were eliminated and we are disappointed. Some decisions were borderline and always went in favor of Inter, but we have to accept it. I am very proud of my team. Sometimes it is like that - sometimes you feel that it is a bit unfair, that some decisions of the referee were unfair and did not favor us, but we have to accept it and start again. Winning the Champions League is one of our goals and we will return."

Finally, Flick revealed that he said something to the Polish referee. "I'm thinking about it (of refereeing), but I don't want to say too much because it would be unfair to my team. They did an amazing job. I told the referee what I thought about it, but I won't repeat it here," he concluded.
Thriller in Milan. Extra time decided the semi-final competitionLet us recall that a real football thriller took place in Milan! Barcelona, although already losing 0:2, managed to make up for the losses and take the lead 3:2, only to concede a goal in added time in dramatic circumstances and lose to Inter after extra time 3:4. Robert Lewandowski's return to the pitch and Wojciech Szczęsny's confident attitude were not enough to change the fate of the two-legged match. Piotr Zieliński played a significant role in the hosts' advancement, but other - completely unexpected players - became the heroes of the evening.
