A good start to the comeback could be the ATP 1000 tournament in Rome.

The Pole won Tuesday's match against the Czech Jakub Mensik, which lasted a total of six hours (including the break due to rain), and advanced to the quarterfinals. Hurkacz thus repeated the result from last year. At that time, the Pole failed to beat the American in the clash for the best four of the tournament in Rome. It was Tommy Paul. The Pole and the American have competed in ATP tournaments three times. Hurkacz last won against Paul in 2021, on a hard court in Paris (ATP 1000). The American will therefore be the favorite. And this is not bad news for the Polish tennis player, who is playing really well in Rome.
