Grzegorz Krychowiak reminded the fans about himself! He scored a goal in an exciting clash

Grzegorz Krychowiak returned to the starting line-up for Anorthosis Famagusta after an injury and scored a goal in the Cypriot league match, which saw his team draw 2-2 with Enosis Neon Paralimni. The former Polish international opened the scoring in injury time and was substituted in the 85th minute of the match.

The clash of the 24th round of the Protathlima A' Kategories was particularly exciting towards the end of the game. In the 90th minute it was 1:1. Three minutes later the lower-ranked team from Paralimni took the lead with a goal from the penalty spot. Zurab Museliani scored. When it seemed that the match would end in a surprise, in the 11th minute of added time the referee awarded a penalty kick to Anorthosis. The goal that made the tie was scored by Sergio Conceicao.

The division of points did not improve Anorthosis' situation. The team from Famagusta is in seventh place in the table and is fighting for promotion to the championship group, where the six best teams in the league will play after the end of the regular season.

Krychowiak joined Anarthosis in September last year. He had previously played for Saudi Abha Club. Since then, he has played 14 matches for the Cypriot team, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His statistics could be better, but at the turn of January and February, the 100-time Polish international missed several matches due to injury.

It is worth mentioning that the former player of Sevilla, PSG and Lokomotiv Moscow, among others, was not the only Pole to play in Monday's match. Piotr Januczkowicz played 73 minutes for Enosis Neon Paralimni. The 25-year-old played in German teams as a junior, after which he returned to Poland to join Olimpia Grudziądz. He became known to a wider audience in the country on the Vistula River when he was a player of ŁKS. He played for the team in Łódź in the years 2020-2024 and played 28 matches in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa.
