BJK Cup Junior Finals. Polish women in the quarterfinals
The Polish team began their competition in Santiago on Monday, securing a convincing victory over Peru. A day later, our team faced Austria. The stakes were high, as a victory for the Polish team would secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
Barbara Kostecka and Lea Haider-Maurer were the first to take the court. The two sets were completely different – the first was close, the second one-sided. Most importantly, however, Barbara Kostecka won both sets, earning the first point for our team.
The second match of the day featured Oliwia Sybicka and Anna Pircher. The match was thrilling, and after a three-set battle, our tennis player emerged victorious.
This result secured the Polish team's advancement to the top eight of the BJK Cup Junior Finals in Chile's capital. In their final group match, the Polish team will face the Americans, with top spot at stake.
