A drunk patient hit a doctor at a sanatorium

According to the website sądeczanin.info, in one of the sanatoriums in Krynica-Zdrój, specifically the Lwigród Sanatorium and Recreation Center, Monday afternoon – August 11 – turned into chaos.

An intoxicated 58-year-old patient started a brawl in the dining hall, vandalizing the area just before lunch. Staff members tried to stop him, but the situation spiraled out of control.

When the doctor on duty pointed this out, the man struck him in the face. The doctor was then taken by ambulance to the hospital for further tests.

Police arrived at the scene, and the aggressive patient was arrested and taken to the police station in Nowy Sącz. Further action will be taken after he sobers up. Currently, the course of events and the legal classification of the act are being determined, along with an expert opinion on the injuries sustained by the doctor.

Witnesses and people involved in the incident were shocked. One of the patients, Mrs. Irena, reported: "We were terrified. He destroyed the dining room before dinner, then they chased him around the sanatorium, and finally he beat up the doctor and the police led him away in handcuffs."
