Anniversary Icebreakers – last days to apply for the competition

• The Icebreakers campaign is organized by the FAZON Foundation for the Professional Activation of Disabled People and the Polish Organization of Employers of Disabled People (POPON).
• The Icebreakers competition is an award for employers, institutions and individuals working to include people with disabilities in professional and social life.
• Applications for the competition are accepted only until August 15th.

The Icebreakers campaign is organized by the FAZON Foundation for Vocational Activation of Disabled People and the Polish Organization of Employers of Disabled People (POPON). For 20 years, it has been promoting the idea of breaking down barriers, professional activation, and integrating people with disabilities into work and social life.

The Icebreakers competition honors employers, institutions, and individuals working to integrate people with disabilities into their professional and social lives. Winners receive statuettes as a symbol of breaking stereotypes and building a responsive, responsible, and open labor market.

The competition consists of two stages: regional and central.

During the ceremony, regional winners will be awarded in the following competition categories:

1. Socially Sensitive Employer – Micro and Small Enterprises
2. Socially Sensitive Employer – Medium Enterprise
3. Socially Sensitive Employer – Large Enterprise
4. Social and Vocational Rehabilitation – ZAZ, WTZ, facilities supporting social and vocational reintegration
5. Leader of the Future – young companies and startups focusing on inclusivity from the very beginning
6. Institution Supporting People with Disabilities – local governments, schools, public and non-governmental institutions
7. Socially Responsible Employer – Sustainable Development (CSR/ESG)
8. Friendly Space / Digital Accessibility – architectural and digital solutions
9. Journalist Without Barriers – media committed to breaking stereotypes
10. Super Icebreaker – a special distinction for an institution or company for long-term activities
11. Special Icebreaker – a personal distinction for a socially engaged person

Competition entries are accepted until August 15, 2025.

The national final will take place on October 16 this year at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

The gala program, in addition to the awards ceremony and inspiring stories of the winners, includes artistic performances by people with disabilities (music, theater, dance) and activation workshops – including photography, art, and a display of creative works by people with disabilities.
