On August 15, 2025, on Polish Armed Forces Day and the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the zoning restrictions will no longer apply. This means that any patient can seek help at the nearest night and holiday healthcare facility without a referral or registration.
- On August 15, emergency rooms and emergency departments operate normally and provide assistance in life-threatening or health-threatening situations, regardless of place of residence and without a referral.
- The order of admission of patients is determined by their health condition, not the order of registration – the assessment is made by medical staff
- In case of emergency, call an ambulance by dialing 112 or 999
- Dental assistance is available 24/7 in on-duty dental offices, and locations can be checked in the National Health Fund search engine or by calling the hotline at 800-190-590
In the event of a threat to health or life, emergency rooms and hospital emergency departments (EDs) provide assistance. They help people with serious conditions (e.g., accidents, injuries, poisoning, bleeding from the gastrointestinal or urinary tract) that may result in serious impairment of bodily functions or loss of life.
The order of patient admission is not determined by the order of registration, but by the health status assessed by medical staff. Patients can visit these facilities without a referral, regardless of their place of residence.
Addresses and contact details for emergency departments and admission rooms are available on the websites of the provincial branches of the National Health Fund.
In the event of an immediate and sudden threat to life or health, call the emergency medical team (numbers 112 or 999).
August 15 - visit to the dentistDental care is available at the on-duty dental office. These facilities only serve patients in emergencies.
