- internet.
The NRL noted that the guidelines of the Attorney General for prosecutors regarding the procedure for handling cases related to reports of aggression against medics are being slowly implemented.
She noted that 50 reports of attacks on doctors received by the Supreme Medical Chamber have already been classified and forwarded to the appropriate services , in accordance with the prosecutor's office's instructions.
During the meeting, the issue of reports concerning individuals or facilities providing aesthetic medicine services without appropriate authorizations was also discussed.
Doctor Tomasz Solecki, an orthopedist at Krakow University Hospital, was killed on April 29th of this year. A 35-year-old man burst into the office where he was examining a patient and attacked the doctor with a knife . Despite the efforts of medical staff, the doctor died. The attacker was a patient dissatisfied with his treatment, who turned out to be a Prison Service officer. The prosecutor charged him with murdering the doctor and attempting to stab a nurse. The court detained him for three months.
Since then, the medical profession and representatives of other medical professions have been seeking changes to the law and other solutions, including those related to safety measures in hospitals, that will help counteract the aggression directed against them.
