They're fighting for PLN. The Cash Coalition wants statutory protection.

To protect Polish cash from digital transformation, representatives of the Cash Coalition have submitted two bills to the Chancellery of the President that aim to ensure unlimited physical payments in Poland. The initiative aims, among other things, to increase the security of citizens and critical infrastructure in the face of cyberattacks.
Rafał Górski of the Institute of Civil Affairs announced the submission of the bills at a press conference on Thursday. This step is symbolic, as August 16th is National Cash Payments Day.
Górski argued that the traditional form of payment has many advantages, and Poles don't want to give it up. " Cash offers freedom of choice, independence, and privacy , and Poles are increasingly concerned about its limited availability," he argued.
Draft laws on the protection of cash paymentsAleksandra Wróbel from the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers explained that the first project assumes raising the limit on cash transactions between entrepreneurs from the current PLN 15,000 to the equivalent of EUR 10,000 (i.e. approximately PLN 42,500).
She stressed that the current low limit on cash transactions in B2B trade hits micro and small entrepreneurs and does not result from EU regulations.

In turn, Aleksander Pawlak from the Warsaw Enterprise Institute informed that the second draft submitted to the Chancellery of the President introduces the obligation to accept cash payments in parking meters , which currently often only accept cashless payments.
Coalition Appeal: Pay in CashCoalition representatives urged people to pay with cash every day. They emphasized the importance of privacy , easier spending control , and the need to maintain the infrastructure supporting cash transactions .
The Cash Coalition was established in mid-January of this year. It is a movement uniting supporters of retaining cash as the primary means of payment in economic transactions.

The Manifesto of the Coalition for Cash presents a total of seven arguments for the defense of cash : guaranteed anonymity, protection of financially excluded people, easier control of expenses, support for Polish companies, transaction security, securing the monetary policy of the National Bank of Poland and increasing the security of citizens and critical infrastructure in the face of, for example, cyberattacks.
