There will be no sale of Rurexpol for now

This occurred because a sales agreement was not concluded by the deadline of October 15, 2025, specified in the letter of intent . Regardless of the above, the parties intend to continue discussions regarding the potential sale of Rurexpol.
Why does the Boryszew Group want to sell its assets? As a reminder, in August, the Boryszew Group announced that it had found a buyer for Rurexpol, which was liquidated earlier this year and no longer operates . In addition to the property and machinery, the foreign company also declared its intention to acquire certificates, permits, and technical documentation, suggesting it might be interested in production. The contract was valued at PLN 71.5 million (approximately $19.5 million).
In 2010, Rurexpol was separated from the Częstochowa Steelworks and sold to Alchemia , i.e. to Roman Karkosik, who wanted to buy additional pipe production plants to the then-owned Batory Steelworks: Rurexpol in Częstochowa and Walcownia Rur Andrzej in Zawadzkie.
Last year, Alchemia, part of the Boryszew Group, decided that the pipe segment had no future and announced the liquidation of the Andrzej Pipe Mill in Zawadzkie, followed by Rurexpol. The Andrzej Pipe Mill ceased production last summer, and Rurexpol ceased production at the end of January this year.
Withdrawal from the preliminary sales agreement for Walcownia AndrzejTwo weeks ago, Alchemia announced in a press release that it was withdrawing from the preliminary agreement for the sale of real estate and movables from Walcownia Andrzej due to "the buyer's failure to provide funds for the contract's execution." According to money.pl, the transaction was valued at PLN 42 million net.
"Shortly after the closure of "Andrzej," dismantling began. Track Tec SA purchased the plant's rail transport components. This was a sign that Alchemia would want to sell everything," Dariusz Brzęczek, chairman of the NSZZ "Solidarność" trade union in the Opole Silesia region, tells money.pl.
He adds that around 15 people currently work at "Andrzej," overseeing the plant and preparing production components for sale. The intermediary, the Dutch company Krudo Industrial, was tasked with finding a foreign investor for all assets and then brokering the sale of the assets. The main equipment was to be sold to companies in Mexico and Malaysia, among others. One was to purchase the reducer, the "heart" of the rolling mill, and the other the pusher bench.
