Inspection at the Academy of Art

The Academy of Art in Szczecin is undergoing an inspection by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The university assures us that this is a routine check.

"This is a routine, cyclical inspection conducted by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage's departmental audit department at all 19 art schools in the country, according to the ministry's schedule. It's a comprehensive, institutional review of documents and procedures," says Kinga Konieczny, the university's spokesperson. "As I mentioned, it's conducted cyclically – a similar inspection was conducted at our university in 2021, even by the same person."
According to our unofficial information, the headquarters may be interested in the financial state of the Academy of Art.
"The auditors examine all administrative, financial, and organizational areas—all the most important aspects of the university's operations. Finances are also included, of course, but this is one of the areas that are reviewed," adds Kinga Konieczny. "Upon completion, a report is prepared, which the university receives along with post-audit recommendations."
The ministerial audit will end on November 25.
The Academy of Art is Szczecin's youngest public university. Established 15 years ago, it offers education in visual and musical arts. ©℗
