Ed Sheeran has revealed his next album, and fans can already be excited.

The highly anticipated album "Play" will be released on Friday. While fans haven't yet had the chance to listen to all the tracks on it, Ed Sheeran surprised listeners with some new information. The singer revealed that his next album is ready and will be released in about a year and a half.
Sheeran previously revealed that his next four albums will be titled "Pause," "Fast Forward," "Rewind," and "Stop." As it turns out, one of them is already finished. In an interview with The Sun, Sheeran revealed that while working on "Play," which debuts on Friday, he was also working on "Rewind." Since "Play" was finished earlier and, as he himself noted, seemed more exciting, he decided to release it first.
Although Sheeran's next album is ready, fans will have to wait for its premiere.
"I think it'll be released within the next 18 months," the singer said, also revealing a glimpse of his next album. "Both albums are twins, very similar. But one is more about Indian culture, and the other is more about nostalgia. So they ended up going in different directions," he said.
