Resolution (in part) on parking fee increases to go to court
The Podkarpackie Voivode Teresa Kubas-Hul has initiated proceedings to invalidate in part the resolution of the Przemyśl City Council concerning the increase in parking fees in the paid parking zones in the city on the San River. However, she ultimately did not issue any decision in this matter, so the faulty - according to lawyers from PUW in Rzeszów - provisions of the resolution will be dealt with ex officio by the Voivodeship Administrative Court in Rzeszów, which will issue the final verdict.
On March 24 this year, Przemyśl councillors passed a resolution on increasing parking fees in paid zones. According to the resolution, the new rates will come into effect on August 1 this year.
Until now, the rate for leaving cars there for the first 30 minutes was PLN 1. For the first and each subsequent hour – PLN 2. These were the rates for all those who parked their cars in paid parking zones in Przemyśl.
Firstly, the resolution contains new amounts, and secondly, it “divides” those parking into those who will be guests in the town on the San River and those who will be holders of the Przemyśl Resident Card.
For the former, the increase will be 200 percent. It will increase from PLN 1 for the first 30 minutes to PLN 3. It will increase from PLN 2 for the first hour to PLN 6. It will be PLN 7 for the second hour, PLN 8 for the third, and PLN 6 for the fourth and each subsequent hour. For the latter, i.e. city residents who will obtain the Przemyśl Resident Card, the increase will be 50 percent. It will increase from PLN 1 for the first 30 minutes to PLN 1.5. It will increase from PLN 2 for the first hour to PLN 3. It will be PLN 3.5 for the second hour, PLN 4 for the third, and PLN 3 for the fourth and each subsequent hour...
