Power is ebbing away. The most important thing is that there are photos

The echoes of the last embarrassment suffered by the Trzebnica authorities have not yet died down, and it seems that the ruler wanted to cover it up with another topic. The problem is that once again "it came out poorly".
Marek Długozima is known for taking pictures of himself at every opportunity. The mayor cutting a ribbon, the mayor signing a contract, the mayor overseeing an investment, the mayor with his children, etc. There are plenty of such examples. The Trzebnica mayor brags about everything and at every opportunity. A court photographer, oh, sorry, official photographer, travels with him everywhere. Moreover, the opposition has long been pointing out that the Trzebnica office is actually a court, and the mayor is treated almost like an emperor. Infallible, always with the best idea and vision. Is this really the case? The opposition claims that this is pure PR, or Public Relations. They point out that the mayor talks a lot, misrepresents a lot, and then "comes out as he comes out". Recently, the vote on the discharge and vote of confidence for Marek Długozima for 2024 has had a wide echo. The authorities were so delighted with their "successes" and the certainty that the mayor's councilors would always vote according to the leader's dictates that they did not notice (or perhaps they deliberately did not want to say it out loud) that an absolute majority was needed for these resolutions, and in the meantime, 3 councilors from the "party of power" decided to rest and did not come to the session.
In the end, 10 councilors voted for the adoption, but both the mayor and the council chairman Mateusz Stanisz trumpeted the success and bragged and congratulated themselves on social media. A bucket of cold water was poured on them by councilor Sławomir Ćwikła , who on June 30 showed the regulations from which it followed that 11, not 10, votes "for" were needed.

This time it may seem that Marek Długozima quickly wanted to cover up this specific embarrassment with other successes, and since there have not been many of them lately, the "Ministry of Propaganda" came up with the idea to celebrate in a big way... another anniversary of the establishment of the Aquapark. So there was a special cake, balloons, games and fun in the water, and even medals.
And maybe there would be nothing strange about it, if not for one small fact. Namely, usually all anniversaries are celebrated in a grand manner, when there is some round date. For example, the 10th, 20th anniversary, or even the 15th anniversary. And in the meantime, Marek Długozima celebrated with the president Magdalena Ciesielskia-Wojda... the 14th birthday of the Municipal Water Park Trzebnica - Zdrój.

But seriously, the report on the city's website lacks important information. Namely, how much did residents pay to run the swimming pool company over the course of those 14 years?
So we will help the officials with this and remind them once again. It turns out that by the end of 2024, the total subsidies amounted to PLN 15,580,450, so over fifteen and a half million zlotys. In 2024 alone, the commune had to add over PLN 1.8 million, and it may get worse with each passing year.
When writing commune, it should be remembered that in reality, it is the residents who pay. Because if the money was spent on a subsidy to a communal company, then there will be no money for the construction of roads, sidewalks, for additional equipment or renovation of schools, etc. It is worth knowing and remembering this.
