The discussion concerned Left senator Maciej Kopiec and his behavior in the parliamentary restaurant .

According to a recording published by PiS MP Dariusz Matecki, Senator Maciej Kopiec , while under the influence of alcohol, referred to politicians of Law and Justice and Confederation in a vulgar manner.

- We as a party have clearly stated that such behavior and words should never be said . This is a mistake, scandalous words, but let there be no doubt in what circumstances they were said. This situation did not happen in the Sejm or the Senate, this is a recording from a hotel bar. It did not happen while performing official duties. This recording is from six months ago - said the spokesman of the Left, Łukasz Michnik.

He was referring to the incident involving Confederation MP Ryszard Wilk , who was led out of the parliamentary chamber. He later admitted that he was "losing the battle with alcoholism".

- It's different when a deputy or senator comes to the plenary chamber to make law and is unable to stand on his feet, it's different when he's secretly recorded. A disciplinary conversation with the senator took place - said Michnik. He added that it took place half a year ago .

According to Jarosław Sachajka, these are "double standards" . - It was a public place - he argued.

- If I were him , I would hide in a hotel - Marcin Przydacz chimed in. - What's more outrageous is that we're discussing this because the film appeared in the media.
