The incredible route through the Pla de l'Areny near MontroigThis circular route, just two kilometers long, begins at one of Montroig's architectural gems, the Santuario Mare de Déu de la Roca, and from there, follow the yellow signs that guide trekking enthusiasts through this sublime Tarragona landscape. Shortly after starting the route, hikers will come across the first point of interest on the route, Cova Foradada.
After peering into the small cavern, you must continue the tour down a flight of steps known as the Devil's Stairs to finally reach Pla de l'Areny. This enclave is as striking for its curious geological formations as for their color, so it's no wonder many venture to complete this short itinerary to see them with their own eyes.

This incredible natural area is located just over half an hour by road from the city of Tarragona. To get there from the Catalan city, first take the A-7 , then briefly take the T-323 and continue on the T-322. Finally, take the road that leads to the chapel's parking lot.
