Singapore Grand Prix with Franco Colapinto, LIVE: What time is the Formula 1 race and how to watch it?

The Singapore Grand Prix, the 18th race on the 2025 Formula 1 calendar, is being held on the Marina Bay street circuit. Franco Colapinto is there, having started in 16th place. Up ahead, the title fight between the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris , but also with Max Verstappen , who refuses to give up. Disney+ and F1TV are broadcasting the races, with lap-by-lap coverage by Clarin.com .
The Argentine passed three cars on the opening lap of the race and climbed from 16th to 13th. He finished behind Liam Lawson's Racing Bulls and ahead of Lance Stroll's Aston Martin.
Russell made a strong comeback to retain his lead and quickly break away from his rivals. After a clean start, the Mercedes driver led, followed by Verstappen, Norris, Piastri, Leclerc, and Antonelli. The two McLarens touched front wheels in the opening few meters. Colapinto also got off to a strong start and climbed to 13th place.
The cars are already turning onto the Marina Bay street circuit, with George Russell's Mercedes leading the way. The race is almost here.
Most drivers will start on medium tires, including Gasly, from the pits. The Argentine, meanwhile, will opt for a different strategy and start from 16th on soft tires, as will Verstappen, Hadjar, Alonso, Stroll, and Tsunoda.
The drivers are beginning to appear on the grid, minutes before the start of a race that could see changeable conditions. The asphalt is almost completely dry, with patches of water in a few sectors; the temperature is 30°C, although it's 33°C on track, and the humidity is 78 percent. Some drivers are wearing cooling vests after the FIA declared this GP a "heat hazard." Rain could appear at some point during the race.
With just under half an hour to go until the start, all the cars are in their starting positions, with the exception of the Alpine of Pierre Gasly, Colapinto's teammate, who will start from the pits due to modifications made to his car after qualifying, and the Williams of Alex Albon, who, after being disqualified following qualifying, modified his suspension settings. The drivers' parade has already taken place, and the official ceremony is just around the corner, while many teams are still fine-tuning their machines.
McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are fighting for the title, starting third and fifth respectively. This Sunday's goal is also to secure the constructors' championship for the Papaya team, which is comfortably on track for a second championship. They need just 13 points, and they could even secure it with some results from their rivals.
Upon his arrival at the circuit, Franco spoke to Alpine's social media and answered a question: "If you had to choose a song to repeat, what would it be?" The Argentine driver surprised everyone with his selection. "(Ricardo) Arjona... Taxi History." How about that!
The weather was unstable throughout the weekend in Singapore, with less heat than forecast but intense humidity that turned into rain on Sunday. The F1 Academy race ended in rain, and although the forecast is optimistic for the main race, a few drops could be expected.
This was announced by the French team. They changed the setup of Franco Colapinto's teammate's car, so he must start from the pit lane, according to regulations, and the 18th position will be vacant. Alex Albon will also start from the pit lane. Therefore, behind the Argentine, only Esteban Ocon and Carlos Sainz will be in the starting lineup.
Nobody's perfect, Formula 1 announced in its announcement of the Singapore Grand Prix, the eighteenth round of the season, which will be held this Sunday on the Marina Bay street circuit, the only one where Max Verstappen has never claimed victory. "A score to settle," was the phrase the four-time Dutch world champion used to summarize his previous experiences, which began a decade ago. Read more.
