Citizens report that cracks are emerging in the College of Engineers

Union Cafeteria.– People living near the College of Engineers have reported with concern that the building has cracks in its structure, which has generated existential doubts among the population and discreet mockery among the architects.

According to neighborhood complaints, the cracks appeared just below the sign that reads “We Design the Future,” leading many residents to worry about what tomorrow holds.

On the occasion of Engineers' Day today, the National Board of Directors of the College of Engineers of Venezuela congratulates all engineers in the country and urges them to continue successfully facing the great challenges before us in these difficult times. pic.twitter.com/CU26lZHC0H

Engineers will oversee their own expertise

“I walked by and heard something crash… I thought it was my wedding, but no, it was the College of Engineers,” said one witness, who announced that he will start wearing a Playmobil helmet when walking on that side of the sidewalk.

There have been so many complaints from residents that authorities have already cordoned off the area to prevent the engineers from attempting to repair it with masking tape or a coat of paint. Meanwhile, Civil Protection is already conducting an appraisal that, ironically, could be supervised by the school in question.

For his part, the College's lifelong president asserted that the cracks are "natural" and pose no structural risk. He added that nothing has been done to repair them "because we want to prove the saying 'In a blacksmith's house, a wooden knife.' "

We will be closely monitoring the results of the appraisal and the actions of the architects, who live by another wise saying: "When the waters are rough, the fishermen profit."

And in case you missed it: a taxi driver who assaulted a foreign tourist and an Uber driver has been suspended.
