Chile declares state of emergency due to massive power outages: Curfew will be imposed

Interior Minister Carolina Tohá announced that the government has decided to declare a state of emergency due to a catastrophe.

"This is in order to guarantee people's safety, since the first concern is to ensure people's safety," he said.

Also, to ensure that “no one takes advantage of the night hours”, a “curfew is established from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.”.

Regarding the Viña del Mar Festival, if there is lighting, the curfew is eliminated.
