The history of the Costa Smeralda and the Aga Khan in a book

It's called "Costa Smeralda. The dream of Prince Aga Khan through the story of those who saw it lived and preserves its legacy", the book signed by journalist and writer Fausto Farinelli, who tells the origin of Porto Cervo and the vision of the Aga Khan - who passed away in Lisbon last February 4th - through the testimonies of those who, this dream, he saw it born, grow and who is it today guardian. A mosaic of stories and emotions, which retraces the steps key to the Costa Smeralda project starting from an interview with Ishmaelite Prince published in 1987 on the Costa Smeralda Magazine, whose discovery pushed the Sardinian author to travel the Porto Cervo area, interviewing those who knew the prince and whoever inherited his legacy, shaping a place where architecture and landscape, man and nature, tourism and sustainability they coexist in a rare and precious balance. Published by Gruppo Editoriale, which among its publications also includes the Costa Smeralda Magazine, which this year celebrates 60 years - and created with the patronage of the Municipality of Arzachena and of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, the book is a journey into memory and identity of a territory through 27 interviews: from the architects who have interpreted the thought of the prince, Giancarlo Busiri Vici, signature of architecture iconic ones such as the Romazzino Hotel and the Stella Maris Church, and Enzo Satta, who continues the work with vision and respect, the CEO Mario Ferraro, Mayor of Arzachena, and Smeralda Holding CEO Roberto Ragnedda; Riccardo Bonadeo, historical voice of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and president of the One Ocean Foundation; Flavio Briatore, but also the parish priest of the time, the carpenter, the restaurateur and many other custodians of a collective history that finds new life today in this book. The volume will be presented on August 7th during the Porto Cervo Libri event, in the Sottopiazza Spiaggietta of Porto Cervo.
