From Elsa to Simba, to the Elysée in Rome Immersive Disney Animation

Peter Pan and Pinocchio join Elsa and Simba in a total immersion of light, sound, and color, giving you the feeling of entering the incredible worlds of the most beloved Disney characters. After its resounding success in 24 cities and over 1.5 million visitors, the Immersive Disney Animation exhibition (DisneyImmersive.com) is now coming to Europe, at Rome's Teatro Eliseo on Via Nazionale. "We've had overwhelming public demand to bring Immersive Disney Animation to Europe, and the beautiful city of Rome is the perfect place to launch this extraordinary experience," said Corey Ross, producer and founder of Lighthouse Immersive Studios. He added: "Imagine walking through Zootopia with Judy Hopps, diving to the bottom of the sea with Ariel, flying on a magic carpet with Aladdin, and entering La Casita with Mirabel and the Madrigal family. This is where Immersive Disney Animation takes you." Creators of iconic animated stories for all ages for nearly a century, Walt Disney Animation Studios has partnered with North America's leading creator of immersive projection exhibitions (including The Original Immersive Van Gogh, presented in over 22 cities) to bring audiences the music and art of Disney films. The Immersive Disney Animation creative team is led by Academy Award-winning producer J. Miles Dale (Best Picture, 2018 - The Shape of Water), who said: "As a filmmaker, I'm always looking for ideas that engage audiences in new and interesting ways, showing them something they've never seen before. Using the new technology that immersive experiences offer is exciting, but it's important that it doesn't interfere with the emotional connection Disney fans have with the characters and stories they love." In addition to the unparalleled projection design for which Lighthouse Immersive Studios is renowned, Immersive Disney Animation is enhanced by an expansive scenic environment created by Lighthouse Immersive Studios' Global Creative Director David Korins (a Tony Award nominee with over 20 Broadway shows, including Hamilton, and an Emmy Award winner for Grease Live). Two thousand square meters of Disney magic, 52 featured films, 33 projectors, and 300 production staff are involved. Interactive elements include motion-sensitive floors and personalized wristbands that light up in sync with the projections and visitors' movements within the galleries. In one particularly spectacular moment, the Gazillion Bubbles special effects team fills the space with millions of bubbles. Visit DisneyImmersive.com for information and tickets.
