Last Sunday, the striker born in Tricarico (Matera) scored four goals that allowed his Notaresco team—a club from Abruzzo playing in Group F of Serie D—to earn three precious points away to Unipomezia, a 4-2 victory in the third matchday of the championship.

After his hat-trick on his debut against Recanatese, Infantino has further raised the bar, placing himself at the top of the Serie D scoring charts. This is further proof of his killer instinct in the penalty area, evidenced by over 140 career goals, including as a professional. "On September 16th, I celebrated my birthday, and on Sunday, I gave myself a special gift," he told ANSA. Today, his experience and physical condition fuel the Rossoblu's ambitious dreams. "I have no particular secrets," he explains. "In recent years, I've taken care of every detail: training, gym, nutrition. I've relied on a nutritionist and a personal trainer, and I feel in great shape. I'm having a lot of fun." The idea of ​​hanging up his boots, therefore, remains distant. "Football is my life," he continues. "I retain the enthusiasm of the child I was, a passion passed on from my father. This sport shaped me; all my values ​​are born on the pitch."

After significant stints with Barletta, L'Aquila, Torres, Ischia, Carrarese, Catanzaro, Teramo, and Taranto, the Lucanian striker is now enjoying his time in Abruzzo, without forgetting his roots. And especially Matera. "I was deeply saddened by the way they forced me to end my relationship with Matera and by the events that led to our failure to register in Serie D," he concludes. "It was a great injustice, because with Coach Ciullo and Director Ferroni, we had created a great group and a magical atmosphere, which was ruined by a few individuals.
