Schlein with Sanchez at PSE summit in Istanbul: commitment to peace

Elly Schlein and Pedro Sanchez met in Istanbul in a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the meeting of the Socialist International, chaired by the head of the Spanish government. At Sanchez's invitation, the secretary of the Democratic Party will speak at the plenary to discuss the commitment to peace and collaboration between progressive political forces.

Sanchez and Schlein also had lunch with the leader of the Turkish CHP party which is under a series of attacks from Erdogan including the recent unprovoked arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu .
