YouTrend for Agi
Some dramatic twists and turns, with sudden leaps in the new supercomputing machine, lead to the hot autumn of Italian politics. Voting trends

The serious stuff is back, with negotiations in fractious and strained alliances, and the election campaigns that will shape this fall. The voting outlook compiled by Supermedia YouTrend for Agi shows little sign of major upheavals, but it certainly surprises with some unexpected jumps. In any case, we're entering the hottest period of the year with local elections scheduled for this fall: in Calabria on October 5th and 6th, in Tuscany on October 12th and 13th, in the Marche and Valle d'Aosta on September 28th and 29th, and in Campania, Puglia, and Veneto in mid-November. The last Supermedia poll was released on July 31st, before the summer break.
Brothers of Italy, the party of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni , continues to rise, gaining 0.3% to 29.5%. Forza Italia, though only slightly ahead of its ally, the center-right, in the internal derby: the Azzurri are stable at 8.7%, while the League gains just 0.1%, rising to 8.5%. The race for candidates remains at a standstill: while Francesco Acquaroli is in contention for re-election in the Marche region, negotiations in Veneto and Campania are still ongoing, while Salvini is pushing for a majority summit to decide.
On the opposition side, however, the Democratic Party gained just 0.1%, remaining stable at 21.8%. The Democrats have been hovering around these numbers since the election of Elly Schlein as secretary. Schlein, meanwhile, has managed to untangle the knots in the alliance in recent weeks by formalizing the candidacies of Enzo Decaro in Puglia and Roberto Fico in Campania. Meanwhile, the Five Star Movement of former Prime Minister and "people's advocate" Giuseppe Conte appears to have lost 0.2%, reduced to 13.3%.
Next up on the list are the sudden leaps in the rankings of the Green Alliance and the Left and Action: Fratoianni and Bonelli's party thus rises to 6.9%, while that of former centrist minister Carlo Calenda soars to 3.8%. It's a different story on the other side of the now imploded Third Pole: Matteo Renzi's Italia Viva, which slips 0.2% to 2.1%. +Europa, on the other hand, drops 0.4% to 1.7%. The so-called "fourth leg" of the majority, Maurizio Lupi's Noi Moderati, remains stable at 1%.
