Arezzo, September 12, 2025 – Giulia Messina and Alessio Antonelli are the Valtiberina candidates for Toscana Rossa.
The alternative list to the center-right and center-left brings the difficulties of living in Tuscany's suburbs and the issue of public services to the forefront of political debate.
They could have jumped on Giani's tram and avoided collecting ten thousand signatures across the entire region, but there's a limit to everything. In the Tuscan Tiber Valley, Insieme-Possiamo followed the Communist Refoundation Party's choice and therefore joined the project of Toscana Rossa, the coalition that includes the Communists, Potere al Popolo, and Possibile, along with many civic groups, and which is nominating Antonella Bundu for President of the Tuscany Region.
The alternative list, both center-right and center-left, focuses on denouncing everything that isn't working in a region with great social and economic potential, while also paying close attention to the areas further from Florence, which have been firmly in the hands of the center-right for a decade now. Red Tuscany aims to provide the left-wing response the electorate is lacking, a response that cannot be interpreted by Giani's continuity or by less credible right-wing alternatives.
In the provincial list of eight high-profile candidates, the Tiber Valley has chosen a representative woman and a man who are both committed to the two largest companies in the area. Alessio Antonelli, a worker at Newlat, and Giulia Messina, an employee at Aboca, will represent Sansepolcro and the Tiber Valley in the regional race. Antonelli, currently a CGIL union representative, was previously a city councilor for Insieme-Possiamo in Sansepolcro, while Giulia Messina has long been involved in social and political activities, particularly those related to peace. We urge local voters to support Toscana Rossa and its list, with particular attention to our local candidates.
