La Russa: “Absolute respect for the values of the Constitution, ready to defend them with our lives”

"We have developed an absolute respect for the values of our Constitution. It is useless to come and ask us to take the democracy exam. The constitutional charter, especially in the first part, identifies inalienable human rights and freedoms that, if they were taken away from us, we former right-wing youth would be ready to take to the streets to defend them with our lives. We went through certain deprivations in the 70s". This was stated by the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa , speaking in Bergamo at the conference " Marzio Tremaglia . Identity, politics, culture".
"Today's right has the objective of closing a historical period of opposition - explains La Russa -. There is a need for people like Marzio and Veltroni but also for symbolic gestures. The mayor of Milan has made a proposal that I like very much: to dedicate a street or a square to all the young people killed for their ideas. It would be something that would honor the memory of Marzio, it would be a symbolic fact of enormous value".
The President of the Senate continues: "In Milan there is a school named after a young leftist, Varalli , and I have nothing against it, it suits me. Then a school could also be named after Sergio Ramelli . It would be nice and right".
